Meenai Charitable Trust is formed in the found memory of Late Mr. Razzaq Meenai. He was a journalist committed to his profession. He has been in the field of journalism for over 20 years, during his time he has establish himself as a fearless writer. A graduate of the prestigious Nizams college in Hyderabad, AR Meenai's articles & writeups, on a variety of subjects, have appeared in many national & regionals dailies. He also worked as Chief Editor of the highly reputed Urdu weekly Saaz-e-Mashriq.
His great grandfather Ameer Meenai was a 19th-century Indian Urdu poet who was respected by several contemporary poets including Ghalib and Daagh Dehalvi and by Muhammad Iqbal. The Meenai family had lived in Lucknow for centuries in the area around Shah Mina's tomb, known as "Mina Bazaar" or "Mohalla-e Minaian" (The Quarter of the Minais). Ameer was educated at Farangi Mahal, Lucknow's primary educational institute.

Nisha Minai, our visionary founder and esteemed senior journalist, is a powerful advocate for charity and community empowerment. With a background in journalism (Bachelor of Journalism) and an L.L.B. from the prestigious Law College of Lucknow, she has devoted herself to fighting for women's justice and resolving family disputes in her role as president of the Akhand Bharati Mahila Mandal women's wing under the Telangana Police. In addition to her leadership, Nisha serves as the editor of Indian Press Today, a respected government-accredited news agency founded in 1986.
Driven by a profound belief in the power of service, Nisha champions the idea that giving back is not just a responsibility, but a reminder of our connection to something greater than ourselves. She emphasizes that by helping others, we create meaningful, lasting change in our communities, making a tangible difference in the world. Her vision inspires us to look beyond our own needs, fostering empathy and compassion while encouraging us to act with purpose for the well-being of others.
AR Meenai was a man of many facets, he was associated with voluntary welfare and social organisations. AR Meenai came from an illustrious family. His father. the late Mr. Hameed Meenai was a high-ranking officer. His mother, Smt S sultana hameedi was a well-known writer and poet.
AR Meenai was renowned name in the political circuit as he served as NTR TDP party spokesman back in the day when NT Rama Rao was the Chief Minister
